ANDY IRONS WINS OP PRO HAWAII

Andy Irons may not be the world champ, but he is out to prove he is the world's best Hawaiian Surfer at the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing in Hawaii.

Andy ousted Taj Burrow for the top spot, and defeated his younger brother Bruce in the quarterfinals.

Quinn McCrystal back in the Mens Finals!

Kanoa Igarashi still making every divisional final he surfs!

Johnny Elles........Solid and making all the boys finals this year!

Courtney Conlogue another outstanding final!

Quinn McCrystal 3rd place Mens. His surfing was on fire this whole weekend. In the mens division there are no easy heats but Quinn definitely had the hardest draw leading up to the finals He has a rhythm for point breaks. He likes to grab the first wave of the heat to put pressure on his competition and get back out before anyone else gets their first ride. It Worked!

Courtney Conlogue 2ND place woman's. All I can say is you might have been able to see sweat on Sage Ericsons face during this final. Courtney had a come back wave ( left hander) that scored an 8 with some of the best 3 hits of the whole final. Looking like a win she came up a fraction short. Great surfing Courtney!

Kanoa Igarashi 2nd mini groms, 5th boys. Every contest Kanoa surfs two divisions and makes the finals always. This weekend I saw him kill so many waves ( on a new Estrada board that looks magic) he had everyone turning their heads to watch as he connected his down the point!

Johnny Elles 4th place boys. This boys division was as tough as they come since the contest was held on a right hand point. Jinny was spot on during Sunday and surfed very strong and smart. Its amazing at this age how many hours and heats in one day they keep killing it. Solid!
